We strive to promote life-long faith formation. People interested in the Catholic Church may start their journey  by joining RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. They journey together toward the Easter sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, First Reconciliation and Eucharist every year. We also offer full family catechesis from grades K – 12 where parents and their children are taught the faith. We provide retreats, prayer groups, and other on-going adult faith formation year-round.

San Juan Diego Retreat

It is a three-day weekend; it starts on Friday at 6:30 pm and ends on Sunday at the 1:00 pm mass.

Humility, Devotion, Enthusiasm

The Saint Juan Diego retreat is a response to the call of the New Evangelization here at the Church of the Assumption.
With this retreat, we begin a formation process in the community. We believe that this formation process will create a new vision in each of the participants, and they will have a clearer idea of what it means to be a community of disciples on mission that is rooted in the Gospel. The beginning of this journey is the root of the unity in communities.

Charismatic Renewal

The mission of the Charismatic Renewal is to show the reality of what happened with the Apostles during Pentecost: the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the disciples and they began to use the charisms of the Holy Spirit to build up the Church.  God Father is continuing to pour out the Holy Spirit in our times.  The prayer group gets together every Friday from 6:45 pm to 9:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

Everyone is invited to be a part of the praise and worship, the songs, the prayers, and the meditations on the Word of God.

RCI for Children

It is open for children between the ages of 7-14 who have not yet been baptized. Children will be preparing to receive the sacraments of Christian Initiation: Baptism, Reconciliation and the Eucharist. These classes will also serve as the faith formation for children who are wishing to join the Catholic Church.

The program leads the participants to the celebration of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation at the Easter Vigil.

Rite Christian Initiation for Adults

This is open for all adults, who have not yet been baptized in the Catholic Faith and who have a desire to learn about joining the Church. The RCIA program leads the participants to the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil.

The sacrament of marriage is a sacred sign of love and commitment between two people. It is a wonderful sign of God’s unconditional love between a man and woman who commit to love each other for the rest of their lives.

Those who are interested in receiving this sacrament must make an appointment with Fr. Michael Kueber at least 6 months before the wedding date. He will set up times and dates to get together with you. After this first step, we begin the program of Marriage Preparation for the day of your wedding.

Please call the office to make your appointment with Fr. Michael.
Talk to Patricio Pena for more information on the process or the prerequisites.

Faith Formation

Following our Mission statement: "By giving glory to God in our prayer life, fostering community, lifelong formation, and service and outreach", we are shifting our focus from previous focus on just sacramental preparation to a grade by grade system where children from grades Kindergarten through 12th grade can have basic faith formation and sacrament preparation at their due moment.

We also are offering the parents of the children a course in faith formation that will be focusing on growing in a personal relationship with God so that they can be faith pillars in their families.

We will be still be offering sacrament preparation as a part of the faith formation program, we will do it at the time when it’s necessary and we believe the child to be ready to do so.
